FN-Grain is a laboratory falling number analyzer designed to determine α-amylase activity in grain and flour using the Hagberg-Pertten method, in accordance with the requirements of ISO 3093.
The instrument is used in grain, flour milling, food, and certification laboratories to assess the quality of wheat, rye, and their processed products.



The falling number (FN) is the time (in seconds) it takes for a standard rod to sink through a heated starch suspension.
